Common questions

Before your first visit.

Will my insurance cover chiropractic? +
Most insurance plans cover chiropractic treatment. We will verify your benefits when you come to our office for the first visit. We also offer direct insurance billing to many of the major carriers.
How long will each appointment take? +
Your initial visit and consultation will take between 30 and 45 minutes, depending on the complexity of your case. Subsequent treatments are usually around 15 minutes, depending on the types of treatment performed each time.
Do I need a medical Doctor's referral? +
No referral is needed to see a Chiropractor.
What can I expect on the first visit? +
We will perform a complete history and physical examination in order to properly diagnose your condition. If necessary we can order X-rays of the affected area. We will then perform a complete treatment of the injured area.
Do I have to have X-rays? +
The majority of patients at our office do not require X-rays. However, if the doctor determines that X-rays are necessary during the examination, they will discuss this with you.
Is Chiropractic safe? +
Yes. Chiropractic is widely recognized as one of the safest, most natural, non-invasive therapies available for the treatment of muscle and joint complaints.
Is Chiropractic good for children or seniors? +
Chiropractic is good for patients of all ages. Different techniques are used for children and the elderly based on their individual needs. The clinic treats patients from infants to over 100 years old.
What education does a Chiropractor have? +
After obtaining a 4-year university degree, chiropractors attend Chiropractic College for 4 additional years, including a clinical internship.
Will the treatment hurt? +
In our office, our techniques are very specific and gentle. We take great care to ensure that the patient feels no pain during their treatment. Most patients report immediate relief, though mild achiness resembling post-workout soreness may occur temporarily.
How long will my condition take to get better with Chiropractic Care? +
Although every case is different, chiropractic patients typically notice an improvement after the first few treatments. However, more serious conditions or long standing problems may take longer to resolve. Even in these cases, significant improvement is usually felt within two weeks.
Do I have to keep coming back forever? +
We offer three care types: relief care (quick pain relief), corrective care (addressing underlying issues), and maintenance care (preventive, typically every 4 to 6 weeks). When you choose to discontinue care is always up to you.
