Our Approach

Diagnose first.
Then treat the cause.

We begin every case with a detailed medical history and a full physical examination, plus X-rays when they are needed. The goal is to identify the underlying cause of your problem, so treatment is specific and effective rather than just covering symptoms.

Most patients notice an improvement after the first few visits. More serious or long-standing cases usually feel significant improvement within two weeks.

01

Joint mobilization & adjustment

Gentle, specific movements applied to the affected joints to restore movement and correct alignment, re-establishing balance and reducing symptoms.

02

Muscle therapy

The tight, painful muscles that travel with a joint problem. Massage and stretching to reduce pain and restore motion to the joint underneath.

03

Rehabilitation exercise

A specific stretching and strengthening program. Without this step, the underlying weakness goes unaddressed and the same injury comes back.

Two weeks is when most patients feel significant improvement, even with more serious or long-standing problems.

Webster Technique

Through pregnancy, into delivery, back to yourself.

A large percentage of women experience back pain and pelvic pain through pregnancy as the body's centre of gravity shifts and the spine and pelvis carry more load. Regular chiropractic care can lead to an easier, safer, more natural delivery.

Dr. Heather Somers is certified in the Webster Technique, a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment that helps balance the pregnant woman's pelvis and reduce stress on the uterus and surrounding ligaments.

  • Pelvic alignment so the three pelvic bones can open in sequence during labour.
  • Reduced ligament tension that can interfere with fetal positioning.
  • Used in cases of breech and transverse presentation.
