Our technology

High-quality, customisable care, backed by advanced technology.

At Byron Optometry, investing in the right technology helps us serve you better. From diagnosis to treatment, we use modern equipment during every step of your appointment to improve vision and protect eye health.

Equipment & instruments

Four key pieces of technology, used in every exam.

01

Visual Field Testing

Visual field testing is used to determine how much you can see with your peripheral vision. We use this technology to identify blind spots that could be the result of an eye condition or disease.

02

Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)

OCT gives us the opportunity to capture cross-sectional images of your retina. By seeing detailed images of the layers of your retina, we can spot the early signs of eye diseases and track progression over time.

03

Optos Ultra-Wide Retinal Imaging

Optos ultra-wide field retinal imaging captures and views in-depth images of your retina. With other imaging techniques, only specific parts of the retina can be captured within a single image. Optos provides an ultra-wide image, allowing us to view your entire retina and retinal periphery.

04

MYAH (Myopia & Dry Eye)

We use MYAH to help our patients with myopia and dry eye disease. MYAH lets us track your eye health using corneal topography, pupillometry and axial length measurements. Dry eye assessment tools include non-invasive tear break-up time, meibography, tear meniscus, and blink analysis.
