Five vets, twelve RVTs, on-site diagnostics

A team of this size means the right hands for the right problem, and the right person on monitoring while another is operating.

Medical

General medical care

Sick visits, allergies, GI, urinary, endocrine, geriatric and chronic conditions across the practice's five-vet rotation.

Surgical

Routine to advanced procedures

Spays and neuters, mass removals, soft-tissue surgeries, dental extractions, all in-house with full RVT support.

Anesthesia

Patient monitoring

Continuous vitals monitoring by an RVT for every surgical and dental case. Modern multi-parameter anesthesia machines.

Diagnostics

Health screening tests

In-clinic bloodwork, urinalysis and rapid diagnostics so we can act on results during the same appointment.

Nutrition

Nutritional counseling

Veterinarian-led diet planning. Danika RVT is also our Nutrition & Wellness Advisor.

Urgent Care

Same-day urgent appointments

When something can't wait, we keep urgent care slots open during clinic hours. Call first to confirm availability.

Canine rehabilitation at Oak West
Canine Rehabilitation

Judith Emery, RVT, CCRP.

A Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner on staff is rare in a general-practice vet clinic. Judith builds and supervises post-surgical recovery, arthritis management, and mobility-loss programs for senior dogs that other clinics would refer out.

Originally from Alberta, Judith grew up in Kitchener-Waterloo, and shares her life with cats, rats, gerbils, mice and ferrets.

Care to Share Program

A community fund for pets in need

Run by Oak West for clients and pets who face an unexpected veterinary bill they can't cover. Donations from the community fund supported care across the practice.

Pet Insurance + Online Shop

Insurance guidance + the online shop

We can talk through pet insurance options with you, and our online shop covers prescription refills, parasite preventatives and food without you needing to make a special trip.

Pet Health Library

Read up before the visit

The pet health resource library, blog, news and videos give you something to read before your pet's visit instead of guessing on social media.

My Dog Persona

A get-to-know-you quiz

The My Dog Persona quiz helps us tailor every visit to your dog's temperament before they even arrive.
