Gottman Relationship Assessment
Initial intake includes structured questionnaires and a longer joint session. We map the friendship, conflict, and shared-meaning systems together so the plan fits the relationship.
Couples and marriage therapy is the centre of the practice. Individual counselling is offered alongside the couples work. All sessions delivered by Jennifer Kausky, MSW, RSW.
Booking is by phone. Receipts issued for extended health benefits where applicable.
Call to BookThe Gottman Method is the most research-validated approach to couples therapy, drawing on more than four decades of clinical research with thousands of couples. Sessions follow the Gottman assessment, then build a tailored plan around the relationship's strengths and challenges.
Initial intake includes structured questionnaires and a longer joint session. We map the friendship, conflict, and shared-meaning systems together so the plan fits the relationship.
Sessions build the seven floors: love maps, fondness and admiration, turning toward, the positive perspective, conflict management, life dreams, and shared meaning.
Slow down the four horsemen, build repair attempts, learn what perpetual versus solvable conflict actually means, and practice the moves that calm escalation in real time.
Affairs, ruptures, and breaches of trust handled with structured Gottman protocols. The path is hard, but it is mapped and supported.
Working through the Gottman framework before a wedding or in the first years of a partnership pays compound interest. Short courses of 4 to 8 sessions tailored to the couple's stage.
The classic short course on what makes marriages work, adapted to each couple's specifics. Communication styles, dreams, rituals of connection.
Unpack what each partner learned about love and conflict growing up, and where those patterns help or hinder the partnership now.
Career, family, faith, money, geography, time. Get clear together on the questions that quietly drive long partnerships.
Individual sessions for adults navigating anxiety, life transitions, grief, and the low-volume struggles that get easier with a regular hour. Sessions are 50 minutes, weekly or biweekly depending on what works.
Strategies for managing anxiety, work stress, and the layered pressures that build up over time. Practical work alongside the deeper questions.
New jobs, new cities, new identities, divorce, parenting changes. Transitions are the moments most adults reach out for support and there is no shame in that.
Bereavement, end-of-relationship grief, and the slower kinds of grief that follow chronic illness or family estrangement.
All sessions are booked by phone. The first intake is longer than follow-up sessions so we have time to set the plan. Receipts are issued at every session for submission to extended health benefits where applicable.

Jennifer's practice does not currently have a photo gallery online. The interior shots on this preview are representative of a private counselling office, intended to show the kind of calm, private space the Park Place suite provides. Real photos can be swapped in before the site goes live.
No receptionist, no online booking platform, no automated menus. Just a real call, returned between sessions.
