The Practice

Quiet rooms, careful work.

The bulk of the practice is couples therapy, grounded in the Gottman Method. We work through the patterns most relationships face: communication that has lost its rhythm, conflict that loops, distance that has crept in, repair that has not happened yet.

Individual counselling is available alongside the couples work. Anxiety, life transitions, grief, and the day-to-day load that gets easier with a regular hour and a trained listener.

What we work on

Three places to start.

Couples sessions are 60 to 75 minutes. Initial intake is longer so we can map the relationship together.

01

Couples and Marriage

Built around the Gottman Method, the most research-validated approach to couples therapy. Work on communication, conflict, repair, and the day-to-day patterns that keep a relationship steady.

02

Individual Counselling

One-on-one support drawn from social-work training. Anxiety, life transitions, grief, and the lower-volume struggles that get easier with a quiet hour and someone listening.

03

Premarital and Early Relationship

Strengthen the foundation before the cracks show up. Gottman-informed sessions on shared meaning, conflict styles, and the early years of a long partnership.

How the practice works

Three things, kept clear.

01

Gottman Method, Level 3 trained

Coursework completed at all three levels of the Gottman Method. The model is rooted in 40+ years of relationship research and is the most evidence-supported framework for couples work.

02

MSW, RSW

Master of Social Work, Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Receipts issued for extended health benefits where applicable.

03

Park Place, Byron Village

In-person sessions in Suite 235 at 1255 Commissioners Road West, the Park Place building right in the centre of Byron.
