How a session
actually works.

Solo, by appointment, in a private home-based practice in Westmount. Most clients start with a twenty-minute call. From there, sessions run weekly or biweekly, individually or with the people in the room with you.

Chapter 01

Twenty-minute introduction call

Every client starts here. A free twenty-minute phone call where we talk through what is showing up, what you have tried, and what you are hoping for. No pressure to book a session at the end.

  • + No cost
  • + Twenty minutes by phone
  • + Clarity on whether this is a fit
  • + If it is, we book the first session
  • + If it is not, I help you find someone who is

Chapter 02

Individual counselling

Fifty-minute sessions, typically weekly or biweekly. Solution-focused and trauma-informed, with space for whatever is in the room that day, not what was on the plan two weeks ago.

  • + Anxiety and depression
  • + Stress, burnout, and overwhelm
  • + Grief and loss
  • + Newcomer adjustment and identity
  • + Self-worth and self-talk
  • + Patterns that keep repeating

Chapter 03

Couples and relationship work

Sessions for partners working on communication, conflict, and connection. The work focuses on how you talk to each other, not what you are arguing about.

  • + Communication patterns
  • + Recurring conflict cycles
  • + Trust and repair
  • + Major life transitions
  • + Co-parenting alignment
  • + Pre-marital or post-conflict check-ins

Chapter 04

Family-system sessions

Parent-child or whole-family sessions when the dynamic, not the individual, is what needs the support. Often used when a teenager or young adult is struggling and the household is feeling the impact.

  • + Parent-teen communication
  • + Sibling conflict
  • + Blended-family adjustment
  • + Cultural and intergenerational tensions
  • + Household coping after a hard event
