A small practice
close to home.
Amir Saeidi is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) running a solo counselling practice in the Westmount neighbourhood of London, Ontario. The practice is intentionally small, by appointment only, in a private home-based office.
Counselling, close in.
The practice is solo and intentionally small. There is no waiting room and no front desk. Sessions happen in a private office in a residential home in Westmount, with the exact address confirmed once we have booked.
Most clients are individuals in their twenties through fifties working on anxiety, depression, grief, stress, identity, or relationship strain. The practice also sees couples and family units when the dynamic is what is being worked.
The approach is trauma-informed and solution-focused. We can sit with the hard things and we can also build small, practical changes that hold week to week. Both have a place in the room.
Three commitments behind every session.
Confidential by default
Sessions are private. Notes are kept under professional standards. Nothing is shared outside this practice without your written permission, except where the law requires (immediate risk to self or others, child or elder safety).
Trauma-informed, solution-focused
Most clients arrive carrying something old and looking to make changes now. The work moves between gentle exploration of the past and practical work on the present, depending on what serves you.
Culturally attentive
Westmount and west London are home to many newcomers and second-generation Canadians. Sessions account for cultural and family context as part of the conversation, not as an afterthought.
A home-based consulting room.
The practice is hosted in a small office inside a Westmount-area residence on Kinnear Crescent. Parking is on the street. The full address is shared in your booking confirmation, not on the public site, to keep the space private for everyone using it.
If a home-based office is not the right setting for you, video sessions are an option for established clients. We discuss what fits at the intake call.
