Why your site should look like this.
This page isn't a sales pitch. It's a plain-English look at what your current website is doing well, what it's doing poorly, and what Launchpad would change if you gave us the green light.
- WordPress with recurring hosting + plugin fees
westfivesmile.ca is built on WordPress. That means ongoing hosting, theme licenses, security and backup plugins, and Invisalign-related plugins renewing every year. Conservatively $35 to $90 per month, with maintenance touch-ups on top.
- Site is Cloudflare-challenged for most visitors
The live homepage returns a 403 to many crawlers and to anyone with stricter privacy settings. Link previews on Facebook, LinkedIn, and SMS often break. The redesigned site loads cleanly for everyone, all the time, on Cloudflare Pages.
- Most hero images are lazy-loaded SVG placeholders
Open the live homepage and the doctor portrait, the logo, the Invisalign badge, and most How It Works imagery render as blank SVG placeholders waiting on JavaScript. That breaks the first impression on slow connections and shows nothing at all to most accessibility tools. The redesigned site uses real images, eager-loaded above the fold.
- Two phone numbers shown without context
The site lists 519-660-7451 and 519-204-6103 with no indication of which to call when. The redesigned site keeps both but the secondary is footnoted on Contact rather than competing for attention in the header.
- No hours of operation anywhere
The current site does not list when the practice is open. Patients have to call to ask. The redesigned site uses a plain by-appointment messaging block and an explicit same-day-callback promise, so people know what to expect.
- West Five Smile and Tesseyman Orthodontics relationship is unclear
The current site does not explain that the same Dr. Tesseyman runs Tesseyman Orthodontics (Byron, full ortho) and that West Five Smile is the clear-aligner-focused West 5 brand. The redesigned site surfaces that on About and links to the broader practice.
- It works, but it blends in
The site does the job, but nothing about it makes someone stop and say “this place looks great.” You're doing the work, the site just isn't showing it off.
- WordPress needs constant upkeep
WordPress sites break. Plugins stop working. Security patches pile up. If nobody's maintaining it, it eventually goes down or gets hacked, and you usually find out from a customer.
- "Change the way you smile" as the hero
The real tagline, set in Prata display serif against a soft plum gradient over the real consult-room photo.
- Six-chapter How It Works section
From free consult to retention, six numbered chapters with the actual treatment cadence (worn 20 to 22 hours, swap every one to two weeks, check-ins every six to eight weeks).
- Invisalign Platinum Plus surfaced front and center
Dr. Tesseyman's 600+ Invisalign cases and Platinum Plus tier surfaced in the hero stats band and the aligners-we-offer section. Strongest single trust signal in the file.
- Patient-referrals workflow built into Contact
Dentists referring patients have their own card on the Contact page with a direct email and the records-coordination promise. No more sending referrals through a generic web form.
- Map embed plus suite-level address
The current site says "1295 Riverbend Road" without the suite. The redesigned site says Suite 128 (Tesseyman Orthodontics is Suite 202 in the other building) so first-time patients are not wandering the lobby.
- A site that actually looks like a real business
Modern design that matches how your business actually feels, not a clicked-together template that looks like everyone else's.
- Works perfectly on phones
Most people looking for you are on a phone. This site is built for phones first, then tablets, then laptops, in that order.
- Everything you already have, better organized
Your hours, your services, your photos, your prices, your booking link, your menu, all of it, in one clean place that people can actually find.
- Fast, secure, and runs itself
Hosted on Cloudflare, the same network that powers Shopify and Discord. Always online, always secure, always fast. No plugins to update.
- You own it. Pay once. Forever.
$250 one time. No monthly fees for hosting. No subscription. No lock-in. The site is yours to keep, forever.
$250. One time. Yours forever.
You pay once. You own the website. Hosting is $0 per month. No monthly fees, no subscription, no surprise renewal email. If you ever stop using Launchpad, nothing happens, the site stays yours.
The monthly fees you'd be paying elsewhere.
Most website builders charge you every single month. The day you stop paying, your website is gone. Here's what that actually looks like over a year:
