A chocolatier from Brazil,
trained in France,
making chocolate in Byron.
Forrat's has been handcrafting chocolate in London since 2003. The Byron lounge has been our home since 2011.
Marc Forrat was born in Brazil and trained in France before settling in London, Ontario in 1996. In 2003 he opened his first shop, La Chocolaterie Forrat, at Covent Garden Market. The Byron location at 1304 Commissioners Rd W became the flagship chocolate and wine lounge in 2011.
Everything is made fresh and preservative free, the way Marc learned to make it. European and Canadian chocolates, handcrafted caramels, and truffles are finished by hand in the shop, and the lounge adds crepes, fondue, charcuterie, and an espresso bar.
It is a small, independent business with a long history in this city, and a brand Londoners have known for two decades.
From the market to the lounge.
